One of the best things after a long day of hiking or skiing is a Kaiserschmarrn. I wanted to make it at home and archieved some promising results.


Unfortunatelly you´ll need a heat resistant pan which can be put in the oven. I used the prime day to buy one :-)


  • 250 ml Flour
  • 500 ml Cream
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1-2 EL Sugar
  • A bit of butter / oil
  • Raisins (Optional)

Preparation steps

  • Preheat your oven to 200° two sided heat
  • Separate the eggs
  • Mix the egg yolk, Flour, 1 EL Sugar and the Cream until you have a dough
  • Beat the egg whites to snow
  • Let the pan heat up and put some butter / oil in it
  • Fold in the egg snow to the rest of the dough
  • Put everything in the pan and let it roast for one minute
  • Put the pan in the oven for around 11 - 12 minutes
  • After the time is over put the pan back on the heat (careful it´s hot!)
  • Rip the Dough into peaces and roast it
  • Briefly before you´re finished turn up the heat and add the rest of the sugar
  • Caramelize the Kaiserschmarrn

It´s best served with cranberries and apple sauce. Enjoy
